nikolailash is the name of a music project exploring electronic, experimental, ambient, and industrial sounds.

nikolailash studied violin, guitar, electronic music, and composition at San Jose State University. His music teachers included Allen Strange, Barbara Byers, and Lou Harrison.

Musical experiences have included playing violin in Kern Philharmonic and San Jose symphony orchestras; playing violin in Stanford Law string quartet; contaminating the alternative rock band Telescope with strange electronic noises.
